Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is the treatment of choice for spider veins of the legs. A sclerosing agent Sclerodex, a solution of salt & sugar is injected into the unwanted vessel.  The solution irritates the lining of the vessel causing inflammation.  This will prompt the body to reabsorb it over a period of approximately 6 weeks.  One to three treatments are needed to see full results.

It is recommended to wear support stocking to maintain results and prevent more spider veins.
